We specialize in the Deutsch Kurzhaar or German Shorthair.
All dogs are hunted and tested to the higher level possible for our breed.
We provide the highest quality dogs you can find for the foot hunter.
Our dogs are hunted and they are very obedient and calm dogs, full of desire, and a pure joy to hunt with.
We believe in breeding for quality, and not quantity.
Our dogs are German registered with the DKV,FCI.
Our kennel name is registered with the DKV and NADKC.
Here at Vom-sptarta Kennels we feel responsible and we take breeding very serious. It is from the heyday of the true kleemann Siegers that our breeding stock was selected. We were fortunate enough to know breeders who were steadfast in their attitudes about the importance of the VGP and kleemann Champion. Our blood lines is based on the HEGE-HAUS kennel, these were people who successfully blended the superior German stock that existed after WWII of the 1950s, KARIN and WILHELM STRAMANN start to create a truly amazing DKs and example of what the Deutsch Kurzhaar (GSP) should be. We trust that you can see this influence in the Vom Sparta DKs of today.
We have dedicated ourselves to keeping this vision of the true Deutsch Kurzhaar alive - in hunting abilities and in type.
At Vom Sparta kennels we remain committed to breeding superior animals.
We believe strongly in strict German testing system, our linebred stock in the toughest arena left - hunting wild boars, tracking wound Deer/hares and pointing game and upland birds on the Great Plains of North America and Germany.
Everyone is aware that there are less than ethical people breeding Kurzhaar today - individuals pursuing ego without abilities knowingly bastardize the Deutsch Kurzhaar (GSP). also we DNA mapping our dogs for a long time and challenge others to do the same.
We remain committed to our goal of Serious versatile Dogs for Serious versatile Hunters by preserving our proven for over 70 years and long time honored genepool.
